I Already Miss You
One Friday evening in March of 1994 I was at a Safeway store buying groceries. At the time, I was also bemoaning the fact that I would be spending the night without a date. Then it struck me that there were many attractive, interesting looking women who were also shopping that evening. I was overwhelmed by a sense of irony and the possibility that any one of these women could potentially be a "significant other". This song is a definite "sell this one" for the market. It seems to have universal appeal.

I Already Miss You
I don't know you, but I already miss you.
You've been gone from me too long.
When will I see your face?
When will I know your name,
And be with you until the dawn?
Please forgive me if I've already met you,
For not knowing who you are.
You see, I've been alone for so very long.
I've looked for love, now wonder why.
In a moment I felt I lived a lifetime
When I saw you standing there.
Then I realized, as you turned to go,
I've seen you in my dreams.
Even though I've never known you,
I have loved you all my life.
I have cherished you and respected you,
And hoped someday you'll be my love.
I don't know you, but I already miss you.
You've been gone from me too long.
When will I see your face?
When will I know your name,
And be with you until the dawn?
And be with you until the dawn?
