Cello Sonata
The "Cello Sonata (#1)" for unaccompanied solo cello is the first in a series of pieces written for strings with movements entitled DIALOGUE. It features two Movements and two Dialogues. The concept of the Dialogue movements is to present tightly structured interludes of an "argumentative" nature. In the case of the cello, it is divided into two voices (high and low registers), each with its own particular musical idea, in contrast against the other voice.
Note: Most of this music is without time signature or meter, and is (very neatly) hand written. Please magnify and print at 11"x14" for best results.
